Franklin County Art Guild adds ART to Local Events

The Guild had the pleasure of contributing to two great local events. One event was the Annual Trails and Trilliums Event held at the Sunday School Assembly on April 8th in support of the Friends of the Southern Cumberland State Park.  Guild member Margie Gallagher demonstrated the art of making fairy sculpture from found objects that can be found on a walk in the woods.  One favorite was how to make a hanging plant with twine and moss.

Another event was the Winchester Wriggle on Friday the 7th of April.  It is a fun event with music, art, and shopping all over Winchester.  Leslie Wells of the Center Stage Dance Company hosted the Guild‘s Pop-Up gallery on the square.  There was lots of guild member art plus a Mob Art Project with lots of Wrigglers participating (Come and see it at the Artisan Depot on display now). Crane Mobiles were popular amongst Wriggle goers and we gave out all we had for $5 contributions for our scholarship.
